Chatham House

Independent Thinking Since 1920

A multi faceted project to mark the centenary of Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, comprising:

A 10,000 speaker-name installation celebrating all the leaders, thinkers, writers and politicians from all over the world who have spoken and shared their ideas at Chatham House over the past 100 years. The installation spans two floors of the central staircase.

A selection of quotes from the most influential speeches of the last 100 years positioned above doorways around the building.

A timeline mural of key moments when Chatham House’s thinking, research and events impacted international affairs. The timeline was replicated online.

An immense hand carved panel of the Chatham House Rule designed to fit into the ornate plasterwork on the main staircase.

A centenary book ‘Independent thinking since 1920’ telling the story of Chatham House and its impact through text, photography and speech quotes.

"The Graphic History Company worked tirelessly through our archives to draw out the most telling moments in our history and wove them together into this unique record of Chatham House’s purpose and impact. The institute is looking fabulous thanks to your vision for our centenary. We are enormously grateful."
